I'm working on setting up a 375 gallon tank in my living room. It currently is sitting on a steel stand. I'd like to wrap the stand with professional modern looking cabinetry. Does anyone know of any cabinet builders in Houston that would wrap the stand?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!

If I remember correctly it’s a guy they have on their payroll who builds all their stands. Honestly though...his work is next level. You can go see them in person. Just walk through the front door and enter the first room on right. All their stuff is show quality.

Couldn't agree more. ADG, although not cheap, makes pieces of art. Worth every penny if it's in your budget.

All the crap I went through building this stand sucked. From paint, to sealing MDF, and hanging the doors. It all sucked and honestly if I had the money I’d pay ADG for a beautiful custom stand. Some have that mirror flawless finish. Their work is next level. I’m not sure who’s building their stands, but I can tell you that whoever it is knows his stuff.

If you’re in Pearland the fish bowl off 35 has a guy that does their woodworking. Check with them on that. He builds their stands for their custom tanks they have built.

Mirror finish is simply sanding, time, patience, wet sanding, more time and patience. It's not hard to do, but did I say it takes patience?

Just make a very sturdy frame out of 2 by 4's then apply the already finished product. Just a suggestion and that is what I did 22 years ago when I made mine and still standing.

"modern" standsa are easy. There are no delicate trims. You can literally just use plywood and wood tape. I modern style stands I have are some of the simplest wood working. The doors are just flat, no complicated stuff.

This is the last one I did. With modern, there is no need to miter trim or anything. If you have any tools, give it a go. If not, pay someone from one of the stores about 600-1000$
