I am planning to get a cnc router at some point but have always loved those 3d printers just have trouble justifying one. I just cant think up enough small plastic items to come up with the cost....but as a tech geek they are just so very cool!!!!

For sure…I love them too. I think it may be cheaper and easier to have others print. 😉

New designed installed:

They came out perfect and exactly what I was trying to achieve. Just long enough to not see light spill from my love seat or living room sofa. They also block a lot of light spill on the ceiling and walls. My eyes and the room in general feel much more relaxed.

I have the exact dimensions for G5 XR15’s if anybody is interested and can give you Lee’s contact information.

That’s a monster reactor for that nano tank
J 😂😂😂

How do you keep the ALK in check before it shoots to 14…it’s a serious question no kidding. I guess the dosing pump is the trick?

It’s just a little 618. ALK is super stable with the carbon doser. I don’t really play with drips. I set it and leave it alone. ALK is too high…take away a bubble or 1/2 a bubble. Too low…add a bubble…etc. The only time you’re tweaking is when the tank is really growing well and corals are taking off or you’re adding corals. Otherwise it’s just on cruz control.

True - a good CO2 regular is key.

Honestly their simple AF. After you dial it in, you don’t need to touch it for a while. If you’re running off pH with an Apex…the key is not to set the pH range too tight. Otherwise they keep turning on/off/on/off and dumping CO2.

I’m currently running mine without anything. Testing Effluent dKH and that’s it. No money for a controller right now. Plus I’m waiting patiently for Apex to drop the new model. It’s coming soon…I can feel it.
