Sump is wayyy too loud. Nobody makes “sump” silencers anymore. So had to create a basic silencer to help my ears. This should have enough small holes to cut down the noise. I find that these kind work the best vs some of the cleaner looking designs.

PO4 is being consumed like crazy even have an auto feeder accident. I accidentally dumped 1/2 the drum into the tank. Sandbed was littered with pellets. Spent 2 hrs siphoning it all out. Several different sizes including tiny TDO for small clowns. Was a nightmare. 26315D81-BF1B-41A7-A4EC-BA1788AF76A7.jpeg D70A0E83-A87E-43E1-9701-76ED33EEB80E.jpeg

What's the fish list J?

That's one clean set up...
I don’t have much right now. Have had a hard time locating the fish I want. I currently have only 4 fish in the system. 2 out of 6 got sucked into my Nero’s. They were small fish, but it’s still frustrating. Found both dead right below the pump on the back glass both times.

Really not a lot that I want to add except another clown, a few more tangs, and maybe a blenny.

Honestly their simple AF. After you dial it in, you don’t need to touch it for a while. If you’re running off pH with an Apex…the key is not to set the pH range too tight. Otherwise they keep turning on/off/on/off and dumping CO2.

I’m currently running mine without anything. Testing Effluent dKH and that’s it. No money for a controller right now. Plus I’m waiting patiently for Apex to drop the new model. It’s coming soon…I can feel it.
I don't trust the Apex ph monitor system, so I use a Milwaukee, which has been rock steady for a few years. Having said that, I basically use the same steup as you, and it truly is a one-knob solution to controlling the alk/cal/mag/etc. I have my CO2 regulator set slightly higher than what it needs, the ph pegged at 6.6, and just use the Kamoera to control the alk. If I want more alk, I increase the flow. If I want less alk, I reduce the flow. The Milwaukee ph controller and electric solenoid take care of the rest.

These looks great! Are you liking them so far? I love the sleek look of my floating canopy, but watching a movie at night before the lights are off is brutal. My tank is in the living room and they mess with your eyes a bit when you're on the couch.

I just bought a new Milwaukee controller. Will probably by a pH monitor too. Trying to wait on Apex and GHL to upgrade. I don’t trust any pH monitor except the Milwaukee or Apex with lab grade probe’s. Milwaukee is a breeze to calibrate and it doesn’t drift a lot. Pin Point’s are garbage.

These really block all the light now only in your eyes, but also in the room on, on the walls, etc. They have really made a big difference in that room and it’s much more relaxed. Highly recommended.

Fixing to go next level with ICP testing.

ICP-MS

With the Oceamo ICP-MS upgrade, your seawater analysis is carried out with ICP-MS (instead of ICP-OES) . ICP-MS ( ICP with mass spectrometry ) is significantly more sensitive and offers up to 10,000 times lower detection limits than ICP-OES.

This brings the following advantages

Important trace elements can be reliably measured in the relevant concentration range . This is a great advantage, especially for the measurement of selenium, chromium, cobalt, copper and nickel. Many of these elements can only be measured using ICP-OES when they are elevated. Using ICP-MS, we can also reliably diagnose a deficiency in these elements.

- Toxic heavy metals (such as mercury, thallium, bismuth, lead, thorium, uranium, ...) can be reliably detected even in very low concentrations. - And thus long before problems are caused in the aquarium.

- The measurement of other elements (such as cesium, tellurium, cerium and ruthenium) is made possible by ICP-MS.

Due to the sensitive measurement of the trace elements, a targeted adjustment of the ultra-trace elements is also possible.

Using the Oceamo ICP-MS upgrade your sample will be analysed using ICP-MS (instead of ICP-OES). ICP-MS (ICP with mass spectrometry) is by orders of magnitude more sensitive compared to ICP-OES, and allows up to 10,000-fold lower limits of detection.

It’s the newer model. I think they just came out. Seems exactly the same but with the different paint job. I don’t see anything different. Maybe there is, just haven’t noticed it. I need to read and see if they updated anything.
