I am dying to do a octo only tank! I tried and failed once already and will try again when I’m confident I can keep the next one alive!

Ya I went to a pet shop once and saw dead fish. I even saw nice clams that were not facing the aquarium light. I wanted to put my arm in the tank and make them face the light but didn't. I did do something ..I complained to the bbb. He did something about it. I went to the store 6 months later and noticed a big difference. There was only one other time that I have seen that. Neglect of pets in a store. March 2013 Wallmart ..just west of the highway that goes to Galveston from Houston. I did not complain cus I am not from there.

This one even better

This is one of my FAV animals in the entire animal kingdom... but I would NEVER keep one. WAY too risky and it’s an excruciatingly painful death if you’re bitten. IME, any cephalopod is best left in their natural habitat due to either lifespan in captivity and/or growth. Some (Pacifics) get massive, and vendors typically can’t even differentiate which type they’re selling. I’d love a couple of blue rings, or even a mimic, but that’s not gonna happen lol SUPER fun creatures to watch, though!!!

I agree I would never keep a blue ring and wouldn't recommend anyone keep one due to risk. But they are beautiful.

I am in agreement that if they (cephalopod's) can't kept in captivity very effectively then yes they shouldn't be kept.

Oh they can be kept. There are tricks. I was never able to keep the babies alive though.
