about a few weeks ago now I see my toadstool starting to split i think, it started to grow a new flap but I think stopped growing it and I’m not sure if I should cut it off or leave it be? Here’s some pics of it.

It’s splitting! Mine does that all the time. It slowly pinches off a piece. That piece falls somewhere, attaches, and grows a new one. Mine is currently pinching off another piece too. You can see the bottom of the pinched off piece in the back.

that’s actually pretty cool. How long does it usually take for urs to completely split?

Depends. Put a powerhead on it and it will expedite the process though.
