Need a better picture. Looks like a hammer or aussie torch to me. Take one not so close up.

It’s not mine, that’s the best pic I have. Others have said frogspawn though. Thanks

This is a frogspawn. Multiple branches per whatever you call it.

This is a hybrid hammer. It has one branch per whatever you call it...It's a hybrid hammer/frogspawn so there's a few frog legs in there too if you look close enough.

Thanks. I have multiple frogspawn, hammer, and octospawn pieces, but this one I’m thinking about buying looks “torchy” to me and I know torched don’t play well with other euphyllia.

That hybrid I have in the second picture sends out stingers that I have seen go over 6" from the colony. It recently killed a 5 head dragon soul torch that was over 6" away from it so yes, not all euphyllias play well together.

My golden hammer took out a head of frogspawn about 3” away. You are definitely correct. They don’t all play nice.

Interesting article. I always wondered what to call that thing. It lives peacefully with my frogspawn but has killed other euphyllias that got close to it. I always caution people that buy this one from me.

They’re evolving. I gladly welcome our new LPS overlords.

Although the name isn’t really important in the end, it seems to most closely resemble grape coral, aka Euphyllia cristata, aka “short torch”. Still has to be mixed with something since the tips on mine aren’t symmetrical, but I think the mystery is pretty much solved. Luckily, it isn’t typically as mean as a torch and usually gets along with frogs and hammers 🍇 🐸 🔨
