How will this work? Are we going to have different themes or something? Just thinking of some way to give some of the little guys or even newer reefers a chance against the pros with unlimited budgets.

Good points. I think each quarter Lee should make a thread stating the dates and theme like this.....

Jan - March 2016: Nano Tanks!
April - June 2016: SPS Tanks!
July - Sept 2016: Large Reefs!
Oct - Dec 2016: LSP Tanks!

Those are just suggestions on themes. I'll let Lee decide what they are each quarter. Each thread is created sometime during the first week of the first month in that quarter. That thread will sit empty waiting for a poll to be added once Lee gets all the submissions. We can then use that thread to vote on who the winner is and the first post in the thread can be edited to announce the winner. Just some thoughts.

for now we will need to keep all pictures and winner announcements in that thread. I see a separate webpage was made for each winner. I'll have to see if I can figure out how to do that.

Just create a thread for each quarter that specifies the topic and guidelines. That means, max/min size tank, type of tank, types of corals, etc. people submit pictures and what not, then another poll thread is created to put the submissions head to head. Let's get this going ASAP.

Personally I consider anything over 200G to be a large reef. I typically view tanks the following way....

Under 40 gal is a nano
40 - 150 gal is a medium tank
200+ is a large tank.

That's just my thoughts. I've had a 240 for awhile now and it doesn't seem that big anymore LOL. Like I said, I'll let Lee decide what the parameters are for the entries. I was just giving suggestions.

Great, sound so good to be considered as having a "large reef tank" lol.
But you are damn right. I feel with my 220 that it's not that large anymore, also I'm running out space already.

Thinking about a 400 or 600 now these days sometimes, it would have been a better choice.
