New nem won’t grab ahold...tried holding him against rocks like my RBTA with no luck?! Any suggestions?

He should stick pretty fast. I agree with cutting flow and putting him foot-down in the rocks. Should grab ahold in 5 mins or less. After he’s secured pretty good (like after 10 minutes) I turn my main pump back on but leave powerheads off. Make sure you protect your powerheads so you don’t get minced nem

Honestly not sure what kind he is...he’s been in the tank 2 days and still just floating there.

I tried pinning him against the rock in a quarantine box but he squeezed out to sit there

If my nem escapes his box I just stick him back in jail.

Yup. They all live in boxes now.

I’d say put him back in the box with some rubble, hopefully he attaches to that. Some (rinsed) pantyhose over the box will prevent him from escaping again while still providing good flow. I wonder why he isn’t attaching, where’d you get him from?

Nah he keeps them all in a basket to keep them from attaching to his rocks...plan to buy he’s not open again til Tuesday. Which is why I came here with the questions

The nem wasn’t attached to the basket? Whenever my bubble tips split (different species but I know all nems attach) the babies attach to the plastic ‘nem cup’ within a few minutes. No rubble or anything just a regular plastic cup with some holes. FJW keeps nems (I think they’re condy?) and rock flowers in a basket at his store, the nems are attached to the basket or rubble. Galactic has nems in boxes, baskets, and tanks and all of them are attached (I know they keep many different species like gigantea, BTA, carpet, etc) it’s very worrying that this one isn’t grabbing onto anything even with low flow. If it hasn’t grabbed onto anything and it’s been days, I would expect it to be pretty sick.
