so my ro/di system seems to be acting unusual lately... when the timer (45mins per day) comes for my ATO tank to refill, sometimes the ro/di fills it up and sometimes it doesnt. I checked the line and its clear but for some reason the vertex doesnt sense that the valve is open so it doesnt turn on quickly... i adjusted the value to stay on for 2 hours and within that time it does seem to come on. Its as if there is a pressure value in it that may be sticking?

I got this unit several years ago from the good folks over at @Unlimited Color Corals and have got a lot of great use out of it. It has a built in pressure pump and normally really produces a lot of water with little waste, So im not ready to give up on it just yet... any suggestions?

It's 100% a valve/solenoid issue. Replace the valves/solenoids.

Same issue with mine - it failed after 9 years. Great product it worked for almost a decade without any componenets malfunctioning.

I didn't want to fix it so I dismantled it - added few more canisters and got the smart buddies ro/di booster pump. The original booster pump still kicking so I kept it as backup.

Microprocessor.

i'd check your DI. If theres flow going thru then with low enough pressure, it'll bypass the RO unit and high tds water will reach the DI
