I heard that all tanks are going to start using tempered all glass on the tanks. The person I heard it from could be wrong but you might want to ask. I know my 140 Oceanic says tempered at the bottom but someone had drill 4 holes in it.

I bought a 55 last week and it has a sticker on the bottom that says all panels are tempered. It is a Tetra brand tank and my Aqueon glass tops don't fit on it!

55g tetra tanks are tempered on all sides. All other tanks are tempered just on the bottom, according to tetra customer service
