Glad to hear nothing went terribly wrong while you were away.

yeah, I was a little worried this time. Not sure why though. I think my major worry was that my ATO res couldn't last the full 8 days, so I added a bit more water to the tank to begin with (about 2g extra). I know this would dilute the salt content in the tank, but I figured 2g out of 130g is pretty minor.

Actually came home to two extras. I guess my "edit" didn't take (probably closed the laptop too quickly). My JF Screemin' Demon also split (just didn't look at the QT Frag/Invert tank). It's super small though. Was going to move it to the main tank this week, but I guess I'll give it another week to heal before my clowns get aggressive with it.

Welp... decided to replace the RO Filters today...

While tightening the canister, it broke the bracket, which put strain on the 1/4" nipple that connects the RO units to each other broke. So $100 later I have a bunch more upgrades to the RO/DI setup on the way. Going to a dual DI filter.

Also ordered a Flipper Max that comes in tomorrow.

Goodies arrived...
Glad I got the Flipper Max for the main tank and the Flipper for my nano. It's nice having them really remove all the stuff quick and easy. The big magnified viewer is pretty cool. Never had one but it's pretty cool.

The magnifier is pretty sweet. When something is the perfect distance it really makes it bigger. Hard to see it in the pics, but it really does help. The flipper max is amazing. The size is great and it's super strong on this tank. So glad I went with it. Cleaning the glass is a breeze now.

Added this Acro yesterday afternoon ( probably 20 min before pic's):

Good stuff. I especially like the clownfish eggs part of your update
If you ever want to borrow my larval trap, let me know. Not needed at the moment.

Sweet. Can't wait to hear you review of this one.
We're running 5 AP700 over our office tank.
So my initial thoughts.

It's smaller than the AP700 overall which I expected. The LED's are a tad closer together though (which isn't exactly what I want since I am trying to use only one over a 48" mixed tank. We'll see.

The new app is better, but still not great.

The app was the biggest negative by far. I'm glad its been somewhat improved.
You going to PAR test and see what you're getting?

Yeah, I have the South Par meter now, and just did a bunch of tests with the AP700 @ 100%

Plan on doing basically the same tonight with the AP9X. I don't imagine there will be much difference though. We'll see

Yeah, I wouldn't expect much difference. Just confirmation that the lights being a little closer together won't limit your placement options.

Since I don't QT Wrasse (as I don't use Copper) I ordered some fish (and a few conches) I ordered some fish from Mike at QurantinedFish.us.

1x Blue jaw Trigger
2x Pintail Fairy Wrasse (Male & Female)
3x Fighting Conch.

They all arrived today. One of the wrasse had a leaky bag, still had plenty of water, but I think because of it being exposed to oxygen the ammonia exploded (based on my limited understanding of how it works). Thankfully it was still alive, but at times was looking very questionable. So I acclimated them via the method he suggested on his website, but I added Prime (and an airstone) to the drip as they came in 1.020 water, while I run 1.025.

After acclimation I moved them into their own "Holding" tanks within the tank. The thought process is they can acclimate to the water (and see the fish) without having to worry about the other fish in the tank. Then the plan is tomorrow to remove the top of the containers so they can swim out on their own.

The one wrasse after the acclimation was still looking iffy. It was just laying in-between the pipes. Was clearly still breathing and watching me, but wasn't moving much. After about 2 hours I noticed them both swimming in the acclimation tank. The trigger was swimming the whole time..

Don't have the best pics of the group but here's a couple shots:

Right after placed in the "holding" tanks:

A couple hours later (when they both finally started swimming):

Just now:

Just now (One was hiding in the PVC... but it comes out from time to time).

At this point I am pretty confident they will both make it. Of course I'm a little worried about the one that was struggling earlier, but the fact it's swimming around now makes me feel a lot better. Looking forward to releasing them tomorrow! Probably a good thing they are in there, as the clowns are very aggressive as they just laid more eggs...right after the photo the female charged the glass...

I hope they will all do well. I also hope your female wrasse will stay that way - I've heard that the fairy wrasses will often change and you'll wind up with two males, even after they have spawned in some cases. If that happens, you can sell one to me - these are one of my favorites.

So far the wrasse's have really made the place their home, they can be found swimming around everywhere. They are even competing for pellets and other food with the tangs!

The trigger on the other hand is super shy... around me. He seems to do fine with the other fish, but whenever I am walking through the house he goes into a rock... the rock with all the anemone's on it... and hides. Was really afraid at first he was going to get stung by the anemone's but he seems to be doing well enough.
