Let me know if they need a new foraging ground when they're done in your tank...
Haha, I suspect the only reason they work so well is because I am not feeding fish in the tank and thus I have the opportunity to starve them.

Generally speaking what I've read is people say they work well and then move to the other food and stop eating them.

Yeah, I haven't had much luck with them. I was hoping yours would get the taste for aiptasia and then go after mine lol

Forgot to mention, the other day while removing the anemone's from the rock I ripped one into two pieces. Both pieces appear so far like they are doing ok, but I doubt the one will survive.

Anyways, added two anemone's over on Thursday. I kept them in a container but one escaped and ended up on a rock I didn't want it on:

After a day of it moving around, it decided to crawl completely under the rock and then poke out through various holes... :

Then this morning (48 hours after the anemone's to ensure there were no free-swimmering Ich) I added the two GoldxLightning clowns, and they pretty much swam together:

Then right before I left to work (2 hours after I moved them in) they had found one of the anemones and were trying to host in it...

On another front, after I finished the VOSS Dosers, I noticed the bacteria I dose ( Continuum Clean M ) (It's a Vibrant competitor) separates a ton! So I've been working on a continuously on magnetic stirrer for it. The prototype is done and seems good. This is almost as slow as it can go.

Sunday I added the CBB & Valentini Puffer to the tank. They are doing great just slowly swimming around and observing. The Anemone figured out how to poke out it's whole head out of the rock. The one I tore in "half" lost half of it, the other seems to be doing fine... but that's still in the old tank for "Recovery/QT"

Few quick pics:

I also finished the magnetic stirrer for the bacteria. Here's a pic of it all stired up and running (runs 24/7):

Not too many updates, other than stuff about the puffer...

So the other night while I was eating dinner I was like "I don't see the puffer swimming around" and didn't think too much of it. Maybe 30 minutes later I walk by the tank only to find she jumped out of the tank... but landed on the screen. Thankfully I did such a poor job on the screen it sagged enough that she was under the water. So just pulled the screen off quickly and she rolled into the water. She seemed fine within a few minutes, but I notice she's always looking up.

I realize there is an opening at the top where it can, but I didn't think it was significant enough one of the fish would find a way to jump out there... guess I was wrong. So now I just put another screen over that little gap while I decide how I want to go about fixing it. I'll probably just not have it extend inward as much and just have the thing go over the over-flow.

Then the other interesting news about the puffer... she always sleeps on the very top of the tallest rock structure in the tank. It's funny as hell. Every night same exact spot. Snapped a pic of her last night.

Good job on anticipating the puffer jumping and purposefully leaving enough slack in the screen
Can I see what you came up with for the reverse screen corner? I might ask for a few copies

Interesting spot for sure lol

:ROFLMAO: exactly! I knew that'd happen and did it that way on purpose!

Basically just measured out the old one and reversed one leg. Worked decent, but I think I made it a tad small. Next one I'd just print at 105% or something. If you want the STL lmk.

Last night the two tangs in the QT still (mostly just to give the other smaller fish time to get used to the new tank) weren't looking the best. I imagine the ammonia was spiking or something since I hadn't been the best at water changes (mostly just sucked poop / leftover food and replaced that water). So I did about a 25-30% change last night, this morning they were looking about the same so I decided it was time to move them into the tank as I didn't have time to get another tank up for them with new salt water.

I am mostly worried that the two tangs will pick on the golden angelfish as it's already a pretty timid fish. I added a mirror to the side of the tank so the tangs would hopefully take out some aggression against the mirror... of course it's the angelfish that is the one that's the most angry about it's reflection (duh). The puffer is also very curious about it.

So far though, the they all seem to be getting along. I realize this has only been a few hours, but it's a positive.

Optimism is the key lol
Im sure the angel will be fine ;)
Well maybe I was too optimistic.

The Kole Eye Tang has become a big bully. The CBB has been hiding all night / morning. The tang everytime one of the other fish gets close it chases them away. Although the angel seems to be more willing to come out. If it lasts more than a few days then the tang is going to in the sale section. It's sad because it ate a lot of the algae on the rocks really well!

Surprised the kole is a bully, need a purple, sailfin or something put him in his place. Lol
LOL, fight fire with fire style!

Well to be 100% fair the person I bought it from said it was the bully in his tank [which he was tearing down]. So I knew before hand it was a bully. It just stepped up it's game upon moving into this tank. Yesterday it seemed to calm down the need to bully everything a bit though and the CBB was at least swimming around like normal.

Although one of the anemone's moved... it was crawling around on a rock i was ok with it on, but then when I got home last night it was on the complete opposite end of the tank deep on a rock. I tried hanging the rock outside the water with the anemone upside down for 40 minutes and it held on. I hope it won't like the location and the next time it moves I can grab it. I still have over a month before I begin adding coral back into the tank so it's not an immediate need.

If you can reach the foot, rub ice on it then use a credit card to slowly peel it off. Otherwise, if you can, flip the rock over & expose the hole to direct light.... he'll move.

I have never had luck with the ice method. Yeah the foot is exposed to light right now and that's why I expect it to move.

Been a while since updates.

I eventually moved the rock that I questioned if it could still have Aiptasia on it. I waited so long it was insane. Nothing has shown up yet. Will yank out if I find any. Tank is doing great. I have most of my corals on the left side of the tank due to giant anemone's reach.

A bunch of shots:

Tank made it through the trip just fine. The person watching my dog/cats/fish raised the temp in the house 4 degree's to "save me money on my energy"... (doesn't matter as I pay a set price for 2,000 kwh a month) so the tank ran a little hot, but looks ok.

Definitely needs to be cleaned though, the glass was so bad I couldn't see what's inside. I had the person "flood" the tank with food just to make sure everyone eats... and yeah lol.
