What are you doing now that you’ve never done before? Where is the horizon of your experience in this hobby?

For instance, I’m planning a seahorse tank now. I’ve never done that and I’m excited for the adventure!

And you’ve never done this before, eh?

I’m curious what you’re up to. Your reefing situation changes more than the weather.

Never, not in this volume. I woke up this morning and decided I hate the way my tank looks. Time to purge.

I hear you. I hate the way my display looks these days. I’m going to finish expanding the fish room so that I can move things around, then I’m redoing the whole thing. I will probably change the lights on the display too. I want ramping abilities and my current system doesn’t have that.

My wife and I are going to do flooring in our front room and then after that we are going to put a peninsula in there. Then we will break down our 300XL and store it. Then we will do flooring in the living room and set it up again.

What kind of flooring? I found the easiest way to do my own flooring was to break out the check book.

We want to do tile of some sort. Maybe the wood plank tile. My sister and brother in law have it in their house after it flooded twice in less than a year. It looks really good I think. We will likely break out the check book, because tiling isn't my thing. I have installed laminate and engineered hardwood, but I don't think tile is something I have the skills to tackle.

We went with the wood-like tile too. It’s a pain to install. Pay someone.

Definitely planning on it. We have the guys name that did my parent’s house and sister’s house so will probably hire him to do it. I don’t have any wet saws or anything for doing tile either. It’s definitely something to be hiring out. My luck we’d end up with some goofy tile sliver somewhere and it would look terrible. Lol!

Still being relatively new to the saltwater side of the hobby I just installed my first protein skimmer the first of June. Enjoying the break in time with the cup overflowing and then nothing for two days...smell the patience lol
