while messing with the wet dry... I found several of these on the pre-filter pad... just under the water flow....... I am sure they came with some rocks... What is it and is it good or bad....... looks like a shrimp with a hair like tail.....or maybe a flea..... they are alive..... I put them back in the tank but the fish quickly ate them....

can anyone identify this skimmer.... It is full blast but I am not getting any large bubbles... I would like to read up on how much pump/ water supply it needs to operate correctly.... sorry this is the best picture I have at the moment.. I have searched but do not see anything that looks like this... not sure how new it is....

pm skimmer, I ran one just like that on my 150 gallon. I used a mag 12 to power it...

They're very common and very beneficial - heck people even pay $$ to get them in their tanks...

You might have copepods as well though.
They are sold in many fish stores in bottles like this but so tiny most people only see them on the glass at night with a flashlight.
I wished these people did sell amphipod they are great fish food.

No worries. They are all beneficial, major difference being size and a bit of shape.
