i made the mistake of renting one of those kayaks they have by surfside. I hooked on a nice sized something, shark or bull red. I started taking on water and the fish kept taking me out towards the ocean. So i noped and cut the line. I paddled back in but the kayak sucked and i capsized and lost a bunch of gear. fun times

The biggest thing I have ever pulled up in mine (old 10ft inflatable kayak) was a blacktip that was every bit of 6ft+. Luckily I was tied off to a bridge at the time....

texas sled ride is definitely fun. I fought it for a good 15-20 mins before giving up. I didn't wanna be on the news. like those two dudes that lost their paddle and drifted for like 2 days.

Weirdly enough my name in Vietnamese is Middle Ocean, so its a bit too poetic if i drown in the middle of the ocean.

During baseball season, I follow the sport pretty closely and other hobbies kind of fall by the wayside. Last year, I picked up collecting roses (started with 4, up to 12 varieties now). I'm a long-time cross-stitcher but started designing my own patterns this year.

I like growing roses and other flowers as well. I only have three varieties - don't have much room since they have to grow within a fence where I live or the deer will eat them. This is my favorite, the Double Delight. The fragrance is amazing.

Saw some cross stitch earlier. I enjoy it in phases, I'll stitch daily for several months then put it down and not touch it for a year or more.

I also volunteer with Houston Pets Alive fostering cats, if you ever need a kitty I'll hook you up! Latest foster is currently up for adoption and she's already a reef tank fan.

My indoor/outdoor cat be bothered with fish. She shows zero interest even when held up in front of the tank.

Yeah both my resident cats don't care and most of my fosters don't either. This one loves the tank though, we put one of the dining chairs next to it so she could watch and would catch her there daily. Not all the time, but def for a good 20min it so catching up with the fish.
