One more local fish

I forgot to mention my favorite local fish... the big head searobin. Just google it to see it. It has yellow/brown wings like a flying fish with little feet like legs it feels the bottom with. They are very easy to acclimate to tank life.

also, there are sgt major damsels, the ones pictures in the thread are not it though they seem skinnier than what it is, but for some reason i have not come across one this year, last year i kept throwing back 40+ wouldnt seem to stop coming in my net lol

also those blennies aren't all that reef safe, i've seen them eat peppermint shrimp, im guessing thats why we catch them + peps at the same time

i caught a really big one once, 5+"

thanks for the post cunningham, very informative

great video toan

Toan,

Great video feed of the frenzie. I noticed you have two lookdowns which are in great shape!!! Your sea robin is great too.

However, the gars you have are actually called Atlantic Needlefish (S. marina). I've caught many fishing but have never attempted to keep one. They look great as well.

Kevin

Can anyone tell me what kind of Goby this is? I got a couple from our last trip south during that collection trip. This is from that area where we gathered up 100s of nerites.
