Hi All for my small aquarium which has everything in the back i have added a mp10 for flow but I still have this film on the surface so I was meaning to get me a cheap/simple surface skimmer, any reccomendations as to what may qualify...I mean I don't want to over gear this little tank , water changes and what not have kep all the numbers good I just want the film to go away

So your tank is an all in one where water flows into the back compartment, right?

As long as your rear compartment water level isn't higher than the baffles I am a bit surprised you would get a film on the DT side.

All 3 of my current tanks are AIO and that hasn't happened to me unless there's too much water in the tank.

That’s what I was getting at. If the water is overflowing down into the rear compartment, then bar some other variable that we aren’t aware of, there should be no film on the surface. Maybe the return pump is just way undersized?

Can you point the power head toward the surface? While I agree with other posters that the AIO design should help with surface film, it's really no different than having a regular reef ready tank... The overflow can only do so much skimming.
