Now that I've caught my Yellow Headed Wrasse, I am looking for a more suitable replacement for my 72g aquarium. I'm considering either a Yellow-Flanked Fairy Wrasse or a Bluehead Fairy Wrasse. So, what is your favorite wrasse and why? Also, feel free to include a pic or two.

I absolutely adore the Melanurus wrasse, if only for the brilliant colors. Can’t speak on behavior or anything because I’ve never owned one but they are gorgeous, especially the terminal male phase.

very close second is the diamond tail flasher wrasse, I mean jeez! The colors!!! Again, haven’t ever owned this fish so can’t speak for behavior or minimum tank size or anything 0C91593A-13F6-46E0-A054-6EC0FCDF7B20.jpeg 0B53CEA0-9585-475F-B096-FC53E8CFB6B3.jpeg

I haven't had either of those, but any of the fairy or flasher wrasses are cool. I do have two favorites though.

Golden rhomboidalis: sadly I only had this beauty less than a week - it had velvet.

The ruby longfin is another nice one - this one I actually still have.

The Lubbock's is another nice one I've had. The second two are much more affordable than the first two.

I have a pintail, he is very pretty but a little shy. I have another solar wrasse coming, first list to velvet but it was awesome, great personality.
