I know, I know, if I’m asking, I probably already know the answer. My galaxea, skeleton is about the size of my closed fist, has been living very peacefully RIGHT next to my 15+ candy cane colony. It sends out sweepers but clearly does not sting the candy canes. It is growing and rather than have it attach itself to the large piece of rock it’s been on, I moved it to a smaller rock currently on my sandbed. Fast forward a few minutes and that clearly wasn’t going to work, and I was already getting stung even though I was using a grabber, so I didn’t want to mess with it much more. The old spot isn’t an option at the moment (longer story) so I put it on the rock that my two nems have called home for a year.

Hence my question... has anyone had luck with these two getting along? (Please, actual experience only, I can speculate myself 😁)

Have zero experience with galaxea, but according to google, if it can reach, it WILL sting it.

I didn't even think to look on Google, lol! 😂
I do understand the behavior and risks, just curious if anyone had a BTA show "aggression" to galaxea and/or had galaxea specifically irritate nems. Recently I've only seen 1 sweeper on the galaxea and the current takes it away from the nems. I wouldn't mind if the nems moved in response to any threat but like that they have been in the same spot for a long time... less worry about powehead accidents when they don't travel.

Seems galaxea has one of the most potent stings in the hobby. Im glad your nems aren't in the firing line lol
