Last night (day 10) I had the larval trap in place. A few babies hatched, but most of the eggs still remain on the glass.
I believe I caught about 6-8, won't be sure until I look again today after work.
Tonight will be day 11, hopefully we get lucky and catch a large amount this time.

Also within the larval trap were more peppermint shrimp babies and more unidentified larvae. (the ones I thought were clown babies initially)
Since I had no way to easily remove them, they were dumped into the tank with the fry. Hopefully that doesn't cause issues.

The unidentified ones are about half the size of the clownfish larvae and they are white in color. For lack of a better comparison, they look like sperm. They move in reverse.
I will try to get a macro shot of one eventually, but feel free to make a guess if you have the slightest clue. I sure dont.

So here is a video of a couple of the unidentified creatures with a macro lens.
Clearly a shrimp of some kind.
These are much smaller than the peppermint shrimp babies I caught.

Another successful night with the trap!
We have well over a hundred fry in the tank right now. In fact I think it's probably closer to 140.

Hopefully you’ll have a lot of success with these guys! After seeing the parent pics I’m super excited for these babies and would love one or two! Different tanks though, idk if I could deal with fish I know are siblings pairing up...

Yeah I'm sure there will be many clownfish to go around in a couple months here.

Good idea.
I've been trying to get them in the mood with the art of dance to no avail...

Had quite a lot of die off the last few days, much more than would be expected. Still plenty alive and well, but way less than I had hoped for.
Not exactly sure what went wrong, but im thinking the tank is a little cramped for so many fry.
I will probably shift to a 10g tank on the next clutch.

The original 5 that made it through meta are still doing well.
They have completely shifted to dry food (TDO) and still have their dominance battles all day long.

The remaining fry from the most recent clutch should be starting meta here in the next day or two.
I haven't lost anymore after the 2 day period where a lot were dying off. Still unsure as to the cause of the deaths.
Maybe the shrimp larvae that were caught in the trap are to blame.

The Jackson 5 (don't let your spouse name fish) are still doing well.
Two of the three mostly white ones have bright orange dorsal fins, which looks pretty awesome.
One of them also has a "dirty" tail.

I'm honestly confused by the two that look like vanilla occelaris clowns.
They look nothing like the father.. maybe their colors will shift when they get older?

Here's a quick vid of 3 babies quarreling:

Thanks for following along!
One of the two fry that look like normal ocellaris has some unique markings. Will be interesting to see how the rest of the color develops.
