I got a yellow coris and put it in my display not thinking the melanarus would attack it since that fish is scared of everything, well it did and the yellow coris had a bloody spot on the side. She was new to the tank so I was able to catch her right away and put in the fuge to recover. That was the 28th. After a week she was healing up but started to come out later after lights on to eat and the 8th was the last time I saw her. Saw her a few min ago when first set of fuge lights were on ans her eye's are bulging and breathing is rapid, second set scared her into the sand. So, the fish can still swim well enough to get into the sand and I know where to siphon to vacuum her out.

Could this be an infection? What is best treatment? I can have a 13gallon tank up in an hour.

My pink fairy wrasse had bulging eyes and rapid breathing once. TDO boost, food soaked in Selcon, frozen mysis and frozen brine multiple times a day. He recovered and is doing great. I think sometimes we want to help and make it worse by stressing them out. That could be my laziness though. I don’t know.

I posted on Humblefish's forum. I got the wrasse into a 13 gallon qt with kanaplex and will see about getting some erythromycin today.

I was feeding frozen mysis and food soaked in selcon. Fish stopped eating and started staying in the sand a few days ago and I just barely saw it laying on the sand breathing heavy before it darted back into the sand.

Mixing in epsom salt into the water column will help with the irritation and make the fish more comfortable. I did that with a Golden Rhombroid I had that got pop eye. Its safe and doesn't counter act any of the other meds your putting in the water. Bobby (Humblefish) should have the ratio of salt to add to your 13gl tank, I honestly don't remember what he had me add to mine.

Hopefully it makes it! Keep us posted.
