One of my hobbies:
Gardening: Flower, vegetable, or herb. Lately mostly flower and herb.
Plants that I think are still alive in yard: Yesterday today and tomorrow (one from Mrs Hunt and the one that I bought because I thought the other had died), crape mytles, orage trees, lemon tree, live oaks, pecan, pomegranate, Shurbs (don't like shrubs), bridal wreath, hibiscus (and I hope my shooting star one is still alive), Blue lilly of the nile, I hope my butterfly butterfly clerodendrum is still alive 2nd one from a friend she brought it over for my birthday told me to come outside and I was like a Butterfly Clerodendrum I was so excited because mine had died & she was mad because she thought she found something I didn't know what it was. Angel trumpets, bougainvillea (white and pinkish, and I think the other is red), rain lillies (the little ones got rid of the big ones years ago, a tall fern not sure what type it is, rabbit foot fern, stag-horn fern, blue double pea vine, pentas, aloe, night blooming cactus (that one my daughter at when she was young and threw up and couldn't keep anything down for 3 days funny phone call to poison control: How do you know that is what she ate, Because she threw up a leaf and I matched it, how do you know that is the name of the plant, because I am a plant freak and I have a plant encyclopedia set, finally got rid of that book series), ziz-zag catcus, japense anemones (anyone knows how to get them to bloom let me know!, clematis (I hope both are still alive), paperwhites, a few roses, my grandmothers violets, amaryllis from my grandmother deep red ones and smaller red and white ones, blue spiderwort flower (from grandma), Weeds everyone had them right? my father taught me the definition of a weed: "A weed is a plant someone does not want" LOL chritmas catcus, giant bird of paradise but I think my husband killed it (I guess that one is okay really wanted the shorter one but gee), persian shield plant, peace lillies, ivys including philodendron silver, I miss my split leaf one, potato vine (should have listened to my Aunt and never asked her for the seed! Believe me you don't want it it is a WEED), 2 wisterias from my grandma's yard (latest round of puppies nearly killed them. I need to check on them, believe me I keep them in a pot!), I had a beautiful passion flower vine my husband thought it was a weed and killed it. It was HUGE) He had a walk around lesson that day, this is not a weed this is not a weed. He also dug up and threw away a lot of my columbines. There were tears.... airplane plants, many plants I just don't know the names of. Several I do and I guarantee I am forgetting they are out there! Won't go into the house plants. Trying my luck with the maiden hair fern again.
Some plants one can get cuttings of some if anyone else is a plant freak? I used to have 2 darants one from my grandma wich was the same color of flower as the one at the picnic and the other was my favorite which was purple flowers with white edges my hubby bought me I think a freeze took it.
Many plants freeze took some, droughts took some, illness took some, being pregnant here and there took some!) Speaking of which I need to go water my herbs don't want to loose my sweet basil or my holy basil, sage, oragano, bee balm or whatever else is out there that the dogs haven't killed!
No Not a huge yard just a plant freak!
