After many weeks of trying to persuade my wife that i NEED a bigger tank she finally gave in! So this past weekend i purchased a 120 from Jason (jbryant). The tank is in perfect condition. Since i am upgrading from a 75 this required a new stand. So Friday and Saturday I tested my wood working skills...

Tonight i finished the plumbing and put 40 gallons of RO water in the tank and 40 pounds of new sand.

Tuesday night i will transfer all livestock from my current tank to a rubber maid tub and pump some water to the new tank. Wednesday my vacation starts (vacation from my paying job) so i will get up bright and early and move the rock to the new tank. Then i will tear all of the equipment down and move it to the new tank..

Skimmer, CA reactor AC3 phosphate reactor, MP 40's, pumps and all electrical.. If anyone want to volunteer to share in the fun let me know!! I am always open to help!!!

120gal - 75gal = +45 gallons only? come on, why didn't you go with a 180-200 gal so you don't have to upgrade again 3 months later? since I remember you started out with a 30 or 55gal for several months, then upgraded to the 75 gal after 2-3 months, and now to a 120g after another couple months... My bet is you'll have a 300 gal by next summer :D

You know me so well!! Baby steps... I have to take it in strides in order to stay married! I think the 120 will make a big difference and give me a lot more flexibility. 300 by the summer.... That is pushing it a little. i would say a 200...I would have gone with a 180 now but it would require me to change to many things. Since i am still at 48" i am able to keep the same light's, chiller and skimmer...
