So I am at the point where I have dosed a gallon of Alk and Ca over the past months. Levels from today are 8.68 Alk and 440 Ca. Current Mg level is 1380 and if I add the 20 oz as the instructions say the level will go up to ~1440 since I have about 150 gal of system volume. Should I add the entire 20 oz and have a bit higher Mg or should I dose a smaller amount?

1380 is high enough really, it wouldn't hurt anything to dose if you want to but its not necessary.

Thanks i was curious if the extra 20oz was optional since the mg levels are currently adequate.

I usually don't dose more than 100/ml per day.

I agree with the current level being just fine, I keep mine at around 1320 FWIW. Once ever 2 months or so after my mag drops to around 1200, I will dose about 50ppm per day. It is recommended not to dose more than 100ppm per day.
