No worries about light...they're non-photosynthetic, so lighting would only be for you to see the sun coral. Since they're nocturnal anyway, it won't really matter. :)

Just watch for skyrocketing nitrates and phosphate. A sun coral fed correctly in less than a gallon of water will quickly tox out.

i realize the high nutrients. this is why i want to move it to a pico. this way i can feed it then suck the excess out. that should keep my parameteres in check. I have been trying to feed it in the 20 with lights on, but it only will come out at night and my tank is having a alage break out do to the excess food floating around.

It's going to be exceedingly difficult, but hopefully you have a really hardy sun coral that will be able to withstand the swinging variables, such as temp, specific gravity, and of course, nitrites/nitrates/phosphates. I hope it works out for you.

yeah so far its done grate. i have a slight nitrate problem and i just realized my temp is going from 76 to 80. i dont know if that much of a swing or not. this is caused my fans. fortunately this house stay at 80 degrees (really hot for me but nice for a pico)
