just join this forum and figured i'd go ahead and post some photos of my tank. along with some stats

Oceanic protein skimmer (i know they suck but i didn't want to go with total overkill. and paired with an air pump rated at 40 gallons its not too bad)
and for now a cascade hob the small 10 gallon version just so i can run carbon i'll be switching over to a can filter to fininsh the classic ADA look

thanks, honestly no just this one. i'll probably be setting up a frag tank mabe in a 30breeder if i can find one for the right price. and to think i've got 11 more frags coming in probably with in the hour. oh i cant wait.

lol yeah i could have gone with more light but being so shallow i would have bleached the crap out of my corals with a 4 bulb set up. heck my idaho purple is more of a light pink cuz the lights are still pretty bright. i may tone down and take the 14K bulb out and just run the giesemann actinic plus and an actinic white, cut back the par a bit. but i just got 11 more frags some real nice favias some acans, a micromussa, a tri-color acro, 2 baby yumas great colors, oh yeah a crazy multi color chalice this thing is amazing, and some funky looking zoas. can't wait till monday for my mp10es... oh yeah!

Thanks all. Sooner than later I'll be setting a 30 gallon frag tank so look forward to nice frags for sale in the coming months mostly acans cuz I honestly can't enough of them and I figure everyone else should have tons of them too!

yea so i bent some conduit to hold my lights till i have a chance to upgrade. thanks goes out to my boy, slagboy! thanks for that bender man i finally put it to use! my tank looks so much cleaner. all i need now is a mame overflow or some lily pipes.

@ flip side... the madarin jumped. i had him trained and everything apparently when they get really comfortable in a tank they perform the mating dance or some crap and they need a high water column to do it or they can just by accident. or he was a poon and got scared of the dark and at some point a light or the tv must have startled him and caused him to jump. so i have no more mandarins.. not till i get my 40 breeder running. and the 2nd mandarin i had i couldn't feed enough so i gave him to dale at rainforest pets. now he's happy in a 125 gallon tank.

@ chris, yeah man this is the mother tank! i've worked my butt off getting in to where i'm at in less than 1 year. lol i swear this hobby is addicting. i'm glad your happy with your purchase. make sure to post some pics man!

Glad you put the bender to good use! Sweet tank! Man, you weren't kidding when you said those acan pieces that came in were huge. Let me know when you get any more cool acans or micromussas in!

thanks man it took a total of 3 bends on each side made exactly the same. but i think it came out well. and i will deffinately let you know when i order more. how are your acans by the way? they should about double in size (puffyness) once they get used to your tank.

They're doing well. They puffed up that afternoon after the lights came on. Was able to feed all the heads some mysis. Thanks!
