We promised you it would happen and it's happening!!

Aquatic Designs will be holding it's final livestock sale this Saturday, March 6th from 9:00am to 6:00pm.

All livestock is on sale! The more you buy the better the deal. It'll go like this:

 Purchase one piece of livestock priced at $20 or more and receive 20% off or, better yet,

 Purchase two pieces of livestock priced at $20 or more and receive 25% off of both pieces or, even better,

 Purchase three or more pieces of livestock priced at $20 or more and receive 30% off of your total livestock purchase!!

We just today received a huge shipment of very, very nice corals that you'll be able to preview at the MARSH meeting this Wednesday. Of course we'll be happy to sell any of it to you then but can only offer your 15% MARSH discount. Please don't ask us to hold anything for you until Saturday.....in all fairness it'll be first come, first served.

We also are expecting a shipment of rose bubble anemones this week and, yes, they will also be on sale!

This is a great opportunity to fill in your tank (for those of you who have any room left :)) so come on in and get it while the gettin' is good!!

I think they are still going to be doing tank installation and maintenance. So having corals and fish on hand will still be used for that. If I am correct the retail store front came after the installation/maintenance business.

so why are you still buying livestock if you are going out of business?

seems counterproductive, to me...

I'm not sure how this could be deemed counterproductive but whatever. Many customers (not only MARSHians) had asked if we were ever going to put livestock on "going out of business" sale and we advised that we would have one sale before closing the doors. Perhaps it's more of an opportunity to say "thank you for your patronage" to our many customers who have supported us throughout the years.

Brandon is right, we will still have our installation and maintenance business and always will always need to have livestock on hand for our customer's tanks.

Hey keith ,
Do you have any hoods for sale prices?

By "hoods" are you meaning wood canopies? If so, I don't believe we have any left (did have a couple) but I'll be happy to have Keith check the shop tomorrow and get back to you. What size are you looking for?

Keith's maintenance customers have seemingly unlimited resources (cash) and expect him to bring them something new every time he comes by. Keith will still be importing corals and fish after his retail shop closes and won't mind to special order you something. I feel sad to see AD close down their retail store. Keith has done an awesome job of bringing in awesome clown pairs.

college station where pernelf lives
ah...

reason i asked was... AND THIS DOES NOT RELATE TO YOU AT ALL! just so you know..

once upon a time in college station there was a furniture store that decided to go out of business... the owner put up signs all over the place and had guys on the street corner telling people where to go and what was for sale... i kept seeing the street guys all the time..I thought nothing of this for a while until i figured out that those guys were still sitting on the streetcorner advertising the going out of business sale 6 months later... The owner kept buying truckloads and truckloads of furniture and was selling them like hotcakes, but he never seemed to go out of business. He finally left when they tore his building down.

i just thought it odd that a store that was closing was still buying stuff... i would have thought that it would try to selll everything and not buy anymore to pay bills...

I need a small lighting canopy for my refugium. Something that I could use so that my culerpa grows better.

Yeah, I've got all kinds of smaller lighting stuff. I'm sure we can put something together for you. If not before, get with me at the MARSH meeting and we'll see what we can find.

Darrin ~

I understand what you're saying. About 5 years ago here in Houston there were several lighting & fan companies that would do the same thing. Frustrating for the consumer who feels like they were definitely mislead.

Trust me, we're definitely closing. And definitely the last week of March. As I said in my previous post, we're trying to offer this livestock sale as a sort of "thank you" for hanging in there with us. But in addition to that, we still have to try to make a buck (little as it is) in spite of the upcoming closure. :(

BTW Darrin, that furniture store you're talking about, it moved across the street to Culpepper Plaza and changed it's name to M J Furniture Bedding and Outlet.

It is the Oriental Rug companies that are always going out of business.

Thank you so much! When you need more clowns, just let us know :) It's hard to close the store but it's the only choice we have - for now. We'll be able to focus more of our time and attention on family and saving our pennies to open a new store in a year or two.
