Great looking tank...CONGRATS!

How did you arrange the LR like that/stacked? I want the same arrangement so my fish can have lots of room to swim around.

I justed moved everything from a 120/g to a 300/g and I'm planning to re-aquascape my tank sometimes next week. My tank is also mostly SPS and clams.

Hey RR-MAN, thanks!

To get my rocks stacked, I threaded them with some acrylic and fiberglass rods. Just drill the rocks through and stack them up. Its important to get a good flat rock for the base and to make sure that your center of gravity doesnt shift too much while you're doing it, but it works quite well. Check out the thread in my signature for more details if you'd like them (some pictures are in there somewhere). Thanks again!

That's one remarkably GOOD looking tank you have there!

I especially enjoy the rock formations. It's making me seriously re-consider MY rock work. Then again, I'll be moving sometime in October of this year and that'll give me the chance to re-work the rock's and perhaps I'll borrow your format!

Outstanding job man!

I tried drilling the LR a few years ago...it was tuff. Did you use any special drill bits?

Thanks, Tempset! Good luck with the move, and it will indeed be a great opportunity to do some fresh aquascaping!

I've never had too much trouble with it, but if it gets dense then it can surely be a chore. You can use masonry bits, which would work better than the regular drill bits, but I didnt have to. Masonry bits are not super expensive if you just need one or two (make sure you get the right size, it's important to have the holes just big enough for the rods or else they will get wobbly).
