Can two ai primes hd grow montis and birdsnest?!?! (1 Viewer)

Hi y'all so quick question I have 1 kessil 360we over my 65 and it's leaving shadows in the back areas of the tank and I want more light! So if I sell the kessil and get 2 ai primes hd will they do the trick? And I'm on a budget too! My dad said he will help me out if I need 100-150$ more to buy the lights after I sell the kessil! What do y'all think!

In all honesty, t5s will give you the best coverage. Brand is important in the bulbs themselves unless you care about looks. I added a couple of bulbs to my tank using scrap parts and couldn't be happier.

To answer your question though, yes, they will work.

I've considered t5s but the tank is in my room I'm worried about it being to bright in my room and won't let me sleep. And a 36in fixtures are expensive!

Lights need to be off when you go to sleep. The fish and coral need rest too. Especially the fish....

They probably can grow montis. I have a throw down red and green spotted monti that gets most of its light by LED's but it does get 6 hrs halide. They are tough corals. Give it a shot and try.

I have both birdsnest and montis growing under a 50$ led! I think is 12k light.
