well i've just upgraded to a 24g nanocube and the person before me had this "coolworks microchiller". Looks a little tacky, but heard it works alright.

i'm not sure if i'll but it myself, any thoughts?

looks like I could make one pretty easily.... :)

Pretty cool idea except i dont like the downtubes on the HOB filters. I dont see why you couldnt just make a bracket to stick the "cooler" portion in a sump or in your case, the back chamber (with lid modified).

Give it a shot and let us know how it works

well that basically looks like a aluminum heatsink from a computer, or easily fabricate one starting with one from ebay, cut to size, screw a fan to it. Then the portion that goes into the water is just a copper tube/rod coated with a ceramic/epoxy layer so it doesnt corrode.

I think i might DIY something similiar to this and give it a try in the next few weeks. thanks for the inspiration.
