Yo John I've done the same thing before, but maybe its to late,
but I just told them they sent the wrong thing, and even have done
that on aquarium equipment, and they just sent the right part.
Just a thought

I already tried that so they agreed to not charge me the restocking fee since I'm going to order the correct memory, but I still have to pay to ship it back. Meh if nobody wants it; it’s really not a big deal to me.

Ram

  thats funny because New Egg is a pretty good on-line
web-site, and was wondering why they described the product as
DDR2 (Dual Data Rate) and SDRam as (Single Data Rate)
maybe you can get um on that, hey your description is wrong.
Its either or, of course SDR being old school ram which is kind of
hard to find, but possible.

Boy you've got me going on this computer stuff, I was going to rebuild
mind, Abit has a mother board that is off the wall with top of the line
with compatible high end 925 P4 set up to 3.8ghz ps and dual
PCI express expansion slots. I priced all that would need included,
processor and two video cards and the mother board itself and the ram
dual channel with top spec mhz. Was about $2700.00. Boy back in the
day was less money to build but now, I've seen maybe better to buy
as a unit. Cyberpower PC has some pretty good prices on some high
end gaming units. But now looking at what I mentioned before, maybe
the description of DDR and SDR is they theory on HyberX technology.
But why would you want slow running ram in single data rate.

I wasn't really ready to upgrade but my old mother board died and it was socket 478 with AGP so replacement options were not very feasible. I had been looking for a reason to upgrade and this was it.

I went with the new bad boy from ASUS.

BTW I'm going to split the thread to the lounge. This is the BST forum and we should do our chatting in the lounge.
