I think my CB has hurt is eye. The eye is slightly enlarged (not quite pop eyeish yet), not really cloudy, just looks like it has a scuff, scratch mark on it. He's swimming around fine and eating fine. He loves to nibble at algae and such around the base of the tank near the sand, and he is constantly picking at stuff growing on the rocks. He especially likes to pick at the plugs of frags, but I have yet to see him actually go after a coral itself.

My thoughts are that he has either been stung by one of my corals, or scratched his eye on a rock or the sand.

Anyone have any insight?

Should I take the chance of stressing him and others by catching him? Start soaking food in garlic and watch closely?

I've seen pop eye but only in advanced stages. Fish was fine yesterday.

Seriously? No advice or opinions? ok...

I'll give an update anyway.
Fish is doing better today. Still eating and swimming fine, eye is smaller. Still no redness nor is the other eye showing any symptoms. Looks like it is some sort of injury.

Yes it looks like an injury if it is only in one eye and is healing on its own. I don't think there is any need to take any quick action here. I would advise that you continue to wait and observe.

Thanks H. I figured as much. Sometimes it's just good to have some confirmation, or even someone telling me that I am completely wrong. :)
