For those of you who are certified, and consider yourself an advanced diver you need to dive the Flower Gardens in August during the coral spawn. I have been fortunate enough to to do this twice both times as a trip leader.

It is absolutely an amazing dive at night to see the millions of spawning corals releasing their spermazoa. At one point there was an absolute flood of this in the water almost like a cloud.

Bear in mind the dive is in the 80' depth at night. Those of you who use the huge dive lights will not fair near as well as those of use who use the very small lights. After all this is a night dive and not a way to turn night into day.

Contact one of the local dive shops and see if they are offering the trip this year. Normally it occurs over a 2-3 night time period and the dive boat operation has this down to a science so you will not miss it.

It is a magnificent dive you will never forget.
