While I'm sitting in the my airplane waiting on our flight attendant to do a corpus turn, I'm pondering the thought on how tools my own two part.

I understand how to do it, but where do we source the dowflake in Houston? Baking soda is easy, Epsom salts is equally easy. But the calcium chloride, where do you all get it?

Thanks!

Leslie's Pool Supply - Hardness Plus. It's Calcium Chloride, and it's local. I've been using it for awhile now as have quite a few others.

Leslie's Hardness Plus Pool Chemical, 45 lbs.

The 2nd review on their site is a guy using it for a reef tank.

Here is the MSDS - it's made by Dow:

You can do a search on Reef Central and find some people who use it as well:

Don't forget Mag Chloride as well if you wish to keep the sulfate to chloride ratio (ionic balance) correct in your tank.

I know this is an older post, but are you mixing this stuff the same as with the BRS type calcium chloride?
