Curious,

how would you set up the MH and t5 over a tank? My 300 is 8 feet by 2 feet and 28 inches deep and 2 cross sections on top to divide the top into 3 square sections. I was thinking of doing 3 250w MH and I get how to mount that but my issue is how to mount the T5. It be for the actinic and filler where the MH dont reach but if you do it yourself and you just have the T5 sockets, how do you mount them in the canopy? I know you can just drill it but what about a reflector? How many would you put over a tank of this size? Thanks.

Dang, no one answered this. I am also looking to add T5 retrofit kit to my canopy so hoped to get some information from this thread.

I built a light rack with aluminum angle from home depot.
In my case I'm really tight on space and had to shove everything really close, making it hard to squeeze in the reflectors but you get the basic idea.
