Had an issue with Don at Frags and More that I thought belongs here.

I picked up a bottle of Reef Nutrition Oyster Feast Tuesday evening. I noticed it looked like the "best by" date had been rubbed off. Don assured me he got the order in about a month prior straight from the manufacturer. I've never had a problem with any of the couple thousands dollars worth of stuff I've bought so I trusted him.

After I got home I looked a little closer and noticed the date had been scratched off purposely. I called Reed Mariculture and they informed me the last order by Frags and More was at the end of march. I grabbed a magnifying glass and at an angle you can clearly see that the "best by" month is "9". This would be consistent with an order at the end of march given that the product has a 5 month shelf life. No possible way to be a new bottle.

I contacted Don about it, to which he was surprised... He stated he just looked and his last order was on 9/22. After informing him the expiration was a "9", he gave no response.

I double checked with Reed Mariculture today and they informed me they have never had a problem with losing orders, that everything is in their computers. The are absolutely sure the last order was at the end of march. So, last order in march, came straight from the manufacturer to Frags and More, I get it with the date scratched off and the month barely readable as "9".

Feel free to form your own conclusions, just thought I would share.

You can make out the month as "9"(easier to see in person) and clearly see the date was forcefully removed by a fingernail or something.

No, I've spent somewhere around $2,000 with him. Reed Mariculture is taking care of it. They sent me a new bottle.
