We are going to re-start this program again next year with one major change that now Marsh members will be able to vote for their favorite TOTM 8) See more rules on the program here

Here is the game plan:

- Dec 22nd, 2006: Deadline for picture submissions (please send your pics to TOTM@MARSHReef.com).

- Jan 5th - Jan 7th, 2007: .Jan 2007 TOTM voting period by Marsh members

- Jan 15thh: Winner anouncement with more details on tank husbandry, closed up pics on fishes, corals, etc...

So please start taking your full tank pics and send to TOTM@MARSHReef.com by Dec 22nd
If you don't receive a confirmation from one of the committee members about your pic submission after 2 or 3 days, pls post here and we will make sure to include your tank in the contest.

Just want to point out that except for change on the tank voting, other rules of the TOTM still apply, such as:

- The program is open to everybody: both Members and Guests. If a member wins the TOTM, he/she will get the GC. If the winner is a guest, he/she will get a FREE Membership for the rest of the year, and the GC will be rolled to the next month.

- Any submissions not chosen for TOTM will automatically be carried over to the next month for consideration

- This program is open to tanks of all sizes (1 gal, 75gal or 1000+gal...), to newer tanks as well as older tanks, of all types (fishes only, inverts, softies, LPS or SPS, etc...)... You can also submit a brandnew tank with not much fishes/corals yet but have some creative aquascapes or tank designs cool equipment, etc..

- For the picture submissions: please send only one FULL TANK SHOT of your tank. So pick out the best of your FTS Once your tank is selected as the TOTM, we will contact you for more pics and tank info for the article.

- If you have any comment or idea to improve this program, please feel free to post here or send PM to us. Also let us know if you are interested in joining the TOTM committee

One more note:

We also plan to select a Tank of the Year 2007 by the end of 2007 or Jan 2008. The TOTY will be voted from the 12 winners in 2007.

Some questions I got thru PMs:

"CAN NEW TANKS AND NEW MEMBERS PARTICIPATE? " ==> Sure you can. New tanks, old tanks, big tks, small tks, members or guests, etc.. can all participate in this.

"Can I submit several tanks?" ==> yes. You can submit your nano tank, your big tank or even your frag tank pics and they will be counted as separte entries.

This program is more for fun and sharing your tank pics with other Marshians... So don't take it as a serious contest We need more tank pics

We have some issues with the Marsh email account (totm@marshreef.com). Right now I only see one email from "Don" (aka.. Marsh screen name?). However I saw at least two person replied here that they have submitted their pics.

We have created a new yahoo account for TOTM submission now and hope it would work better (since it provides a lot more storage capacity than the Marsh account).

So please send/ re-send your tank pics to this account: MARSHTOTM@yahoo.com.

Also reply it here (like 'pics sent') or PM me if you want. Please mention your Marsh screen name in your emails so we can make sure that we get your pics. Sorry for the inconvenience.
