I have three medium size GBTA, and when I first got them they were very green in color. All three GBTA have turned all white in color. What causes that? what can I do to get their color back?.....they are healthy, still feeding them, they still bubble up at the ends. I just don't know why they've changed in color. Can someone help me with that?

Thanks,

Carlos

They have expelled their zooxanthellae. They often do this when stressed from moving or water chemistry issues. Key things, do not mess with them ie move them! Make sure they have adaquate lighting and are happy. If you do this, they will heal up and regain thair zooxanthellae. It is important that they do as the zooxanthellae provides them their foodsourse during photosynthesis. During this time of healing, offer them small food sources such as mysis shrimp to provide them the energy they need to recooperate. And above all else, unless they are in peril such as being sucked into a powerhead, DO NOT MOVE THEM :).
