I am looking into dive shops in the Houston area to get my certification. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

Depends on your location. I didn't certified here in Houston, but have had good dealings with the folks at Maximum scuba (on 146 in Seabrook).

I am actually an out-of-towner that will be coming to Houston for the classes, so location doesn't matter. Good to hear about Maximum Scuba though, they were at the top of my short list just based off internet searches and review sites. Thanks!

I used Just for Divers up in the Woodlands. Me, my sister, brother in law, wife and best friend all went through their courses and really enjoyed it. He does them for a pretty good price too.

Maximum Scuba! Their team is awesome! THey extremely funny yo be around and they make things real easy for you. THey flexible as well!!!
