I have read and researched and looked and planned and pondered and I am still stuck!

In your opinion, should I build an led for my 40B (no sps yet, but maybe someday) or should I get the AI hydra? I am currently running two corallife 150w clamp on halides and I am ready for a change. I will move the halides to dads 33L tank to get him off the ancient t5 setup he has.

If I build, I am planning to do dim able on a controller (aqua style or boost led typhoon) using a makers heats ink and fan.

What would you do??????

How do the reefbreeders look over an open tank?

Any other ideas or opinions?????

I am leaning more to the ai as the reef breeder doesn't look as polished.

Just grabbed a hydra from Dennis.

It's hung and the controller has been updated, but I am not sure of the color. I may have to make some adjustments.

It looks really pink in the middle and blue on the outer edges.

They told you , should have gone with the Reef Breeders. But no you had to get the AI. Just kidding. Glad you are set on lights. Good luck with your new setup.

Just lifted the light up a bit.....much much better now.

Before it was super pink in the middle and windex on the sides....lifting it some made the color much more even.

90 day update:

I LOVE THIS LIGHT.

Really. I do like it, my corals seem to like it, my light bill likes it!
