Ok I'm new to all the equipment for a saltwater tank. I just bought two new koralia 1150's and when they are hooked up to the wave maker they make a clicking sound every time they kick on and off. Is this normal? Can it be stopped? The tank is in my livingroom and the constant clicking is going to drive my wife crazy!:) Any help would be great! Thanks

I had korallia's a few years back before I made the switch to the Vortech Pumps, but it's a break in period.
It will get less but there's always a slide noise for them to switch from one to the other.

when I had my nano I had it set up the same way and mine usually clicked as well. I don't believe there is anything you can do about it. hopefully someone can come up with a solution for you.

Thanks for the info. I figured that it was normal but was hoping that someone would say that it gets better over time. Much appreciated.

The koralia magnums were silent and were advertised as so. This was a change in the koralia design.

Yeah starting with the evo's they put a bump stop in there to keep the prop from spinning backwards. I'm pretty sure its the prop popping against that stop when the pump starts. Forces it to spin the right direction.

I have 6 Hydor Koralia 1150s and 4 had broken grills. If you go on their website they will send you free replacements. They are aware of this tendency. Also if you soak them in vinegar and warm water they usually run correctly.
