Due to school and work I have to tear down all my tanks and sold them off a while back. Now things have settle down again I'm right back in it again. We're about to move in about a year or so so my big tank has to wait because I dont want to deal with all the moving later on. After reconsider all my options I chose to go with a 12g nano cube. Here are some pics.

There are about 6lbs of nano size lr with various shapes so there are a lot of crevices for the fishs and ledges for corals. And here are some specs.

Light - 70w 14k MH retro into the hood.
Hood is gutted to instal 3 computer fans as you can see in the pictures.
( This works real well because after having it running for the whole day th e tank's temp stays the same as the temp of the house which is 79-80F).
Stock pump is replace with a Maxi900 and is hook up to a HYDOR.
Auto top off unit.

I want this tank to be able to run by itself and all I have to do is change the water once a week. Hope you guys like the pics. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yup, I'm already planning for the big tank right now because I will have a fish room built just for it =].

My sands are about 2" in the back and slope gradually down the front to about 1.5". You think that is enough or should I need more? I'm not expecting any cycle since all of the lrs are cured from a LFS holding tank and I used about 5 gallons of their tank water and fill the rest of the tank up with Cantalina natural sea water. I ser it up yesterday and at night I already see miniture serpent stars crawling around and this morning there are all sorts of mini snails on my glass. But just to be safe I'm going to let it sit for a couple of weeks before I start adding stuffs. I'll probably be looking to add some established sands to diversify my sand bed so if there is any body that live around NW area can donate me just a little bit of their sands it would be great.
