That's a monster led.

Only prob would be finding a driver and getting the right heatsink and fan to cool down that beast.

Oh yea.... It's 6,7k. So gonna be really yellow. So you're gonna need to supplement.

Although those LEDs are 50 and 100 watt, they are just simply 50 to 100 leds shoved together. You can see the individual LEDs in the matrix and count them. The big problem with these is having to remove all the heat generated from such a small area. The rated intensity is under optimum conditions. Plus, to utilize these in an aquarium you would have an incredibly bright spot in one place and most of the tank would have to have supplemental LEDs anyway. The total lumen output is not any better than if you had separate 1w or 3w LEDs but the separate LEDs will be easier to focus and cool.

I am having an LED retrofit unit designed to resale. One of the things I looked into was to add a few 20w LEDs for the majority of the white light. But the proble with heat made me concerned about LED longivity. If the LEDs get too hot then they will have a short life. So we are going with 1w and 3w LEDs.

Heat sink too small for a 50w led IMO.

P.s. That power supply is not right. You need to find a driver or buck puck.

100w led is 36v forward voltage, 50w led is 16-18v. You picked a 24v power supply.

Heat Sink for 100W LED

Believe it or not, you are looking at something like this to cool that bad boy!

You need active cooling with that size of diode, not passive.

i already tried those they definetly need a large way of dispersing the heat mine worked great 100 watt two of them over 210 except burned out in less then a month......replaced with two 100 watt cannons so if u do go that route make sure you use a dimmable driver and good heat sink...

its possible but why? lol I just dont see that spread doing very well. aside from its going to be a pita to manage the heat and noise associated with cooling an led like that. not to mention you'll need A LOT of blue LEDs to offset that kind of yellow
