Little experiment i have been doing with great results.
equipment needed:
flash light
SLR or camera capable of shooting raw and use a speed light
speedlight
While the lights are out, i use a flashlight to provide focus assistance to the camera and bounce the light from the speed light off the ceiling at full power, simple as that. of course you will adjust some camera settings and do a little post production work in your favorite editor.
