I've sent out some feelers but haven't received any word back. I'm looking for a small, 6-12", Coral Cat Shark/Black or Brown Banded Shark. We had one in an egg that we watched develop for two full months. In the last week or so, its egg sack ruptured and the shark did not make it. Needless to say, the kids were devistated. So, I'm now looking to just buy one that has already hatched. If any of you can order one for me, please let me know. If anyone knows of where I can go pick one up, feel free to post. Thanks for any help.

p.s. I've been in this hobby for over 15 years...so please, spare me the "shark lecture." ;)

Not yet. B&B gets a shipment in tonight. He told me to give him a call in the morning to see what he got in. That's where I got my egg. He's had a few come and go but they were different kinds and much larger. I've found a website which has some, but I'd rather buy one locally. Hopefully, within the next week or two.

The one I have from him is healthy and the same price as online and no shipping. Im happy with it. Hes prob around 2ft and goes through silversides like they are going out of style.

I picked up a Marbled Cat from B&B on Saturday. So far, he's been adjusting to the tank. Doesn't seem to want to come out of his cave. I've also not been able to get him to eat. I've been offering pieces of fresh squid and shrimp. Any advice, or should I just give it time?

Can't help as much on the eating, though usually there is an acclimation period for most every new "fish". Funny I stopped by there on Saturday and saw the shark and was going to post it but they said it was already sold- figured it was you. Good looking- maybe just a variety of food will help.

Garlic, garlic and more garlic. Rub it on what you want to feed.

Tie/punchier a small squid to the fishing string. Guide it around the shark mouth. It should take if its ready to eat.

Hey funny thing about this is I also bought a marbled and a banded about 3-4 weeks ago. My banded is doing great and eating great but my marbled is not stays hidden all day, and from what I can tell just gets on top of the rock he is always under at night time. He has not eaten a thing in front of me but I think when I put the cube of frozen squid in at night he might be eating a little and I have tried the garlic on everything like squid, shrimp, krill, silver sides .... So if yours does start eating let me know the trick.

I dont know that the frozen stuff would work. Sounds like you have tried some fresh stuff too, I would stick with that. If its been a few weeks, hes eating something somewhere. My shark wont come out at all during the day even though hes awake in his cave (i see him stick hes nose out just to look around and goes back in). Stick with the garlic, I had to drop the food right infront of my shark at first before he would eat, now he smells it clear across the tank.
