So I got this mandarin with the 220 set up and it definitely looked like a female at first, but now I second guess myself. I don't know if it is just that the poor thing has started putting on weight or just feeling better and holding her fin higher. It looks like the fin is regrowing the long piece. Is it all in my head?

****maybe Cat has before pics or remembers what it looked like, but I swear after being gone for a few days, it is more obvious.

It definitely was a lot smaller before, its a male. Must have lost the spike and is now regrowing it.

Thanks! I thought I was going nuts. Ha ha. After being away from the tank since Thursday it was looking clearly longer, but I wasn't sure.

The target mandarin is looking pretty good, she comes out a bit more, but still prefers the back side of the rock. They both are putting on weight and saw this one eating frozen gut loaded brine this morning! I felt like fainting. Lol

I guess this guy needs a new name, flutter just isn't very masculine.
