The other day I went to see Pan's Labyrinth (which was excellent by the way) at AMC Studio 30, and was amazed to find the price of an evening show is now $9.00. Now Im usually not one to complain, but does anyone else think this is a tad excessive? Keep in mind a large coke and bag of popcorn costs another $8 or $9, and suddenly taking your girlfriend to the movies costs around $40. I mean... geez. Then you sit down and pray that nobody is talking on a cell phone, or that some kid doesnt start screaming. Despite the cost, we almost had a decent movie experience (except for the yellow squiggly line running across the screen for 20 minutes).

Anyone else hate going to the movies? Its stuff like this that makes me love blockbuster online and redbox.
