I am looking for an alternative to the icecap 660 and 430, I am only needind to power 2 60" (140w) bulbs. I know that the workhorse 7 will do one of these bulbs but don't want to have to buy two ballasts. Does any one know of any other manufacturer that makes a ballast that will do this, and also where to get it?

Yeah, I checked there. They no longer sell the ballast seperate for the vho. They only sell them with their kits.

Why worry about two ballasts they are only $35 locally each you can't get a 430 or a 660 anywhere near that price.

I was wanting one ballast just to make everything a little neater! I hate wires all over the place, and if i can find a ballast that will do this then only on plug!

Do you not like the IceCap or is it too costly? I have an IceCap and love it, the 430 would do what your asking.

From what I have seen in the Grainger catolog, all I see is magnetic, not electronic ballast. So if any one has any other ideas I would appreciate it. But if not I will just suck it up and buy a 430 ice cap to do the job.
