Just started new SPEC tank. 2 gallon. Plan on keeping some zoas, shrooms and a fish. Maybe a mini carpet and clown.

Can you post more pictures and tell us about the filtration? It looks like a biocube type setup. Is it?

Simple 2 chamber solana type design:

1 = overflow, LR rubble, filter pad
2 = return pump

Upgrades in mind:
LED fixture upgrade
nano powerhead in display

THe light is a basic white led lights probably 4200k or so. It will prob keep softies like zoas and GSP; however, i've seen one of these tanks with JBJ stunner strips (one white and one blue) and it makes the tank look 10x better plus they're a little more in tune with coral needs.

I am thinking more of a 10k/royal blue mix for DIY fixture either with a heat sink made myself or a par38 style bulb. Not sure yet.

The water level in this tank is somewhat interesting; displays have the back and front chambers all filled up to same level which is kind of counter-intuitive for an overflow setup. but you can raise the display water level by glueing in a wall to raise the effective overflow point. i've seen it on the display at fish gallery.

Hmm, I might have to get one of these. It would be perfect on the bedside table. That way I could sleep watching it isnstead of TV.

:D
