looking for a new return pump for the 180 gal. I reall y like the DC pumps available now. Does anyone have one now, or know more about them? The design and concept of models available seem okay, and they appear identical except for color of body. Iffin your a knowin sumthing, spill it for all to see. (Speedwave, Waveline, and Diablo)

I know dc pump is the new thing but I have ran all my tank with eiheim return. They are dead quiet and you can't beat their reliability. I took my 1262 that i use on my 225 apart to clean every 8mths or so and there is no rust or buld up at all on the shaft or impeller. I run my tanks sock less to give you an idea of the environment my eheim is in lol. On my lps 60g tank I run one of the eiheim compact pump and it is also of high quality so far.

Keep us posted, also curious to how that works out. Looks like the bigger dc pumps handle head height well and can get you more flow than the other internals for less power (Diablo 10500 still has 2600gph at 6.5 feet for $270).
